Final reflection

Without realizing it, time fly so fast and we already at the end of the semester. One thing that i want to say is that, i really enjoyed myself learning this course. For the past few months, I gained a lot of information and knowledge regarding to the latest technology that can help us to teach modern young children. For example, i learned on how to use IWB and made an hour lesson using it. This is my first experience creating a lesson using modern technology and it really enjoyable. Before this, most of us only used materials that we can find anywhere around us such as old newspaper and magazines. Although planning a lesson using traditional materials are much easier, but integrating technology in these materials make the lesson more interesting and enjoyable.

Moreover, there a lot of philosophies such as FISH philosophy that we can consider to integrate in our teaching to make it fun and meaningful. FISH philosophy is the only thing that i can remember for now. This shows that i need to study more about it before the exam start. Haha. Before i forget, I also want to say my sincere apologies and thanks to all the lecturers and tutors that help us during this course :D All the best and i hope that i can do well in the exam ^^

Future classroom?

If you ask me what i want in my future classroom, there are lot to list them here. In reality, it is impossible to get everything that you want and it is also depend on the government budget whether to invest in these technological things (IWB, LCD projector and computer labs) to improve our education system or not.

For me, as long as the students are willing to learn to improve themselves in terms of their academic achievement, it is important for the teacher to assist them various ways possible. These technological things only bring limited benefits such as to assist teacher in teaching and somewhat motivate the students that are not familiar with the usage of this technology.

Nowadays, it is not common to hear students with 14 and 15 A in SPM although these technological things are not fully implemented in schools or some schools have none of it. From my view, academic achievement can be achieve with the cooperation of various sides such as teachers, parents and school management. As long as these people united to improve our education system, it is not impposible to hear students can achieve more that they can achieve today.

Life after raya...

Without realizing it, 1 week of Raya holidays already passed. Now our life is back to it used to be, buzy with assignments and stuffs to do. Oh, well. i'm already used to that kind of life anyway.

Nothing interesting happend during Raya, the holidays are too short for me to go around celebrating and visiting my relatives. Maybe the only good thing is that, i still received "duit raya" from my parents and relatives. Although the money that i received is not that many, but i think it is enough for me to buy something that can help me to release the stress from doing the assignments. I wish i had enough time to visit my friends during the holidays. Some of them work very far-far away and only come back home once a while.

Reflection of Assignment 3

Finally, after handed in our assignment yesterday, I feel so relieved to know that I can celebrate Raya holidays without thinking of any work to do. Maybe for now, hahaha.

Back to the topic.
I guess this assignment really help me to become creative in a sense that we need to develop our own teaching aids that can attract the pupils attention. At first, it is a bit hard to gather all the ideas and materials on the topic that i want to teach. But all become clear as I started to write down the curriculum specifications that i want to focus in my lesson. From my view, the lesson that i want to create should be fun and meaningful and this will indirectly help the pupils to learn better as it is something that they like.

SMARTboard

Haha, sorry for the late post. Right now we are doing SMARTboard assignment. All progress are running smoothly although i have some minor problem with the SMARTboard installer. Do not worry, i already fixed that :D Look forward to our work next week. Jya ne :D

VIDEO ASSIGNMENT - DONE

Finally, i got the time to update this blog.
For the past few weeks, I've been so busy with the assignments and stuff.

Well, overall i think I've learned a lot from doing this assignment.
Although this is something new, doing the video is quite fun and challenging.
The instructions of the assignment are also clear and we were given enough time to prepare and produce our video.
Not like some courses that i know...

Anyway, i look forward to our next assignment :D
